For a long time, we Africans have dreamt of a united Africa that will secure the position of the black man in the world. This dream has remained alive and relevant for many centuries. Quoting Marcus Garvey: "Nobody knows the time when Africa shall unite; it is in the wind, and when that time comes, all Africans shall be one." Presently, the zeal for having a united Africa has even reinforced through us youths, reeling from misfortunes brought about due to our disunity. We were warned that failing to unite would make us susceptible to manipulations economically, politically, and socially, rendering us subservient to the will of organized nations. We are witnesses that this is now happening to us, such that any serious African knows that we have lost the independence our forefathers enthusiastically fought for. The time is now for us youths to decide with one heart to bring an end to this neocolonial exploitation of Africa by other nations. Let's always remember that the burden of liberation lays upon the shoulders of youths, and it's them who bring change. Also, nature is constituted in such a way that it gives oppressed people the opportunity to bring change. Will we African youths embrace this opportunity, or will we be afraid to take the bull by its horns? It's a question history will answer.
